WASHINGTON - Jan 12/23 - SNS --Peanut production was estimated at 5.89 billion pounds, up 6% from 2022, according to the USDA's final production estimates.
Planted area was estimated at 1.65 million acres, up 14% from 2022. Harvested area was estimated at 1.57 million acres, up 14% from 2022. The average yield was estimated at 3,742 pounds per acre, down 270 pounds from 2022.
