Easier Note in Lentil Market

VANCOUVER - Jan 18/14 - SNS -- North American lentil markets finished the week's trading on a generally easier note as grower selling interest inched ahead of the short term needs of the market.

Continued easing in the value of the Canadian dollar and expectations of further weakness in that currency contributed to the easier tone.

Grower bids were mostly unchanged, making it easier for exporters to lower prices in line with the currency driven reduction in replacement cost.
