Generally Lower Birdseed Values
VANCOUVER - Jan 18/14 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading on an easier note as grower selling interest rose above the immediate needs of the market.
Oil-type sunflower markets finished the week slightly lower despite modest gains in soybeans and canola.
Confection sunflower markets were firmer on the week. Interestingly, processors in the United States are offering growers a cent a pound premium for 2014 crop large caliber sunflower seed.
