Desi Chickpea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/11 - STAT -- Canadian Desi Chickpea markets finished the 2010-11 marketing year with prices offered to growers advancing 9% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Desi Chickpea was CDN$973.35 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $894.03 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $1019.63 per MT in February, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $912.15 per MT in April.
