Chickpea Exports From Canada Post Soft Opening
PANAMA - May 2/24 - SNS -- Exports of chickpeas from Canada dropped relative to the previous month in March, trade data from Statistics Canada reports.
Movement during the month totalled 17,888 metric tons (MT), down from 20,371 MT the prior month. This boosted export sales so far during the marketing year to 154,933, up 4% last year.
Recent movement data revealed Turkey was number one destination, receiving 6,461 MT in the month. United States was the second most important consumer receiving 2,931 MT, followed by Italy at 926 MT.
