Chickpea Exports From Australia Post A Firm Performance
PANAMA - May 2/24 - SNS -- So far during the current marketing year posted a an improved performance, with chickpea shipments from Australia improved compared to the previous month in March, according to official statistics from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Total shipments during the month reached 52,602 metric tons (MT), up 1% from the previous month's total of 52,112. So far movement has totalled 287,599 MT, down from 307,850 during the previous marketing year.
In the month, Bangladesh was the most important buyer, taking 31,833 MT. United Arab Emirates was the second most important destination receiving 9,360 MT, followed by Pakistan at 4,459 MT.
