Australia's Lentils Exports Open On Strong Note
PANAMA - May 7/20 - SNS -- Shipments of lentilss for Australia jumped versus the previous month in March, the most recent data from Australia Bureau of Statistics reports.
Total export sales in the month reached 81,367 metric tons (MT), up 26% from the previous month's total of 64,530. So far movement has reached 350,195 MT, up from 100,899 in the same period the last marketing year.
In the month, Bangladesh was the top buyer, buying 50,191 MT. Sri Lanka was the second most important importer taking 11,556 MT, followed by Egypt at 8,815 MT.
