Green Lentil Exports From Canada Post A Strong Result
PANAMA - May 5/20 - SNS -- At this point in this marketing year posted a an improved result, with green lentil exports from Canada advanced compared to the previous month in March, according to the most recent data from Statistics Canada.
Export sales totalled 30,801 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 6% from the 29,048 MT exported the previous month. Movement so far total 244,172 MT, versus 326,688 during the previous marketing year.
In the month, United Arab Emirates was the number one importer, taking 4,598 MT. India was the second most important destination buying 3,612 MT, followed by Peru at 2,619 MT.
