No 3 Red Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/17 - STAT -- Canadian No 3 Red Lentil markets finished the 2016-17 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 22% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 3 Red Lentil was CDN$21.85 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $27.86 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $26.30 per cwt in November, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $17.25 per cwt in July.
