No 2 Richlea Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/16 - STAT -- Canadian No 2 Richlea Lentil markets finished the 2015-16 marketing year with prices offered to growers rocketing 63% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 2 Richlea Lentil was CDN$56.33 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $34.47 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $69.50 per cwt in April, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $35.00 per cwt in August.
