Canaryseed Holds Steady
VANCOUVER - Oct 18/14 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets ended the week's trading on a mixed note in relatively light trading interest.
Canadian canaryseed and white proso millet were mainly unchanged, while oil-type sunflower eased over expectations world vegetable oil output would be up significantly this season.
Canada's canaryseed harvest made good progress on the week, with 77% of the crop now in the bin. That is three points ahead of the recent five-year average, but nine points behind last year's pace.
