Canaryseed Remains Relatively Firm
VANCOUVER - Sep 28/14 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets finished the week unchanged against an increase in availability of new crop millet and canaryseed.
Canada's canaryseed harvest is advancing at a slower than normal pace. It started the week 11% complete, compared to the recent five-year average of almost 27% in the bin by the end of the third week of September.
Grower bids were largely unchanged, with the result inter-dealer markets were mainly unchanged and processors were not pressing for sales.
