No 2 Laird Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/14 - STAT -- Canadian No 2 Laird Lentil markets finished the 2013-14 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 11% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 2 Laird Lentil was CDN$19.62 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $21.93 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $21.50 per cwt in July, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $18.60 per cwt in March.
