No 1 Laird Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/14 - STAT -- Canadian No 1 Laird Lentil markets finished the 2013-14 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 10% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 1 Laird Lentil was CDN$21.91 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $24.26 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $23.00 per cwt in July, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $20.20 per cwt in March.
