Birdseeds Await Area Reports
VANCOUVER - Jun 28/14 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets were little changed in limited trading interest the last half of the week.
Markets were looking for information about much canaryseed was planted in Canada and are now worrying about the contents of Monday's seeded area estimates form the USDA.
There is a belief land in sunflowers and other crops could be misstated because the survey may not have considered that seeding delays could be long enough to force farmers to switch crops.
