Lentil Crop Looks Bigger Still

VANCOUVER - Oct 12/13 - SNS -- Lentil markets finished the week little changed as the needs of the markets remained well balanced with offers from growers and processors.

Fundamental news was also mixed during the week because of further confirmation of record yields in Canada and increased worries about summer pulse output in India.

Unofficial yield estimates by Saskatchewan agriculture department suggest Canada's lentil crop could approach 1.85 million metric tons (MT).
