Lentil harvest Selling Pressure

VANCOUVER - Sep 28/13 - SNS -- Lentil markets finished the week's trading with an easier undertone against harvest selling pressure in Canada.

One sign of the pace of grower selling is deliveries into the primary elevator system. They have been relatively strong at around 106,000 metric tons (MT) since the August 1 start of the 2013-14 marketing year. Of the total, 8,600 MT were delivered back into domestic markets and 3,800 MT directly exported to the United States and Mexico.

There is no previous year comparison available, but bulk conventional clearances for the August through October period suggest deliveries were significantly lower at this time last year.
