No 2 Richlea Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/13 - STAT -- Canadian No 2 Richlea Lentil markets finished the 2012-13 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 19% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 2 Richlea Lentil was CDN$19.56 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $24.08 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $21.50 per cwt in May, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $17.81 per cwt in December.
