Lentils Steady in Limited Trade

VANCOUVER - May 3/13 - SNS -- International lentil markets finished the week's trading on a firmer note as offers from growers and processors fell behind nominal buying interest from exporters and end users.

Demand from the Indian subcontinent has died with the coincidental arrival of large bulk conventional and container shipments.

This has resulted in a short term glut on regional markets and increased reseller activity at the same time as Indian farmers are delivering new crop product to interior collection points.
