Easier Tone in Lentils

VANCOUVER - Apr 27/13 - SNS -- International lentil markets finished a quiet week on a generally easier note because of a sharp reduction in end user demand.

Markets had been strongly supported by the need of exporters to fill in gaps in bulk shipments to the Indian subcontinent and ongoing buying.

Unofficial estimates suggest over 100,000 metric tons (MT) of bulk conventional red lentils shipped to India since the start of the calendar year, along with substantial quantities in containers.
