Millet Sets Another New Record High
VANCOUVER - Apr 6/13 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading on a relatively firm tone.
Canadian canaryseed and U.S. confection sunflower seed markets were unchanged on the week, while white proso millet established new record highs, with grower bids reaching U.S. 45 cents per pound or $992 per metric ton (MT).
Tight stocks have combined with uncertainty over weather conditions during the upcoming growing season to help lift markets higher.
