Few Changes in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Feb 9/13 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets finished the week little changed, with offers from growers and processors remaining slightly behind the needs of the market.
This is especially true of white proso millet seed grown in the United States. Grower bids were unchanged on the week, with the result both grower and inter-dealer markets remained at their record high levels. Confection sunflower seed markets were mainly unchanged, while oil-type sunflower were slightly easier.
Canadian canaryseed markets were happy with numbers contained in Statistics Canada's December 31 stocks in all positions report.
