Millet Leads Birdseed Skyward
VANCOUVER - Feb 1/13 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets maintained their firm tone through the past week, with values mostly advancing in response to fundamental concerns within the sector and outside market influences.
As has been the case in recent weeks, white proso millet markets in the United States led the complex higher, with markets establishing new record highs.
Grower bids in the United States finished the week at U.S. 41 cents per pound for farmers dressed producer delivered processing plants and elevators in the U.S. midwest.
