Red Lentil Dealer Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/12 - STAT -- Canadian Red Lentil markets finished the 2011-12 marketing year with prices falling 14% below the recent three year average annual price on inter-dealer markets in that country.
The average trading level for Red Lentil was USD$27.84 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual market value of $32.49 during the previous three year period for machine dressed merchandise packed in bags delivered to Montreal.
Analysis of the monthly price pattern reveals the highest monthly average was $34.00 per cwt in August, while the lowest monthly average trading level was $24.56 per cwt in February.
