No 1 Laird Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/12 - STAT -- Canadian No 1 Laird Lentil markets finished the 2011-12 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 16% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 1 Laird Lentil was CDN$27.68 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $32.94 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $31.55 per cwt in August, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $22.75 per cwt in July.
