Few Changes in Lentils
VANCOUVER - Mar 31/12 - SNS -- International lentil markets finished the week little changed against relatively tight trading interest.
Markets were somewhat surprised by the USDA seeding intentions report, which found that farmers in the United States plan to increase lentil area this year.
That is running contrary to expectations for Canadian lentils, though some wonder if it signals Canadian growers are more interested in green lentils than previously thought.
