Few Changes in Lentils

VANCOUVER - Apr 30/11 - SNS -- International lentil markets finished the week's trading mostly unchanged in light current and new crop trading interest.

Markets were also slowed by the fact a large number of traders were attending this year's CICILS convention in Barcelona, Spain, where deep concern over seeding delays in Canada left buyers and sellers with different ideas about pricing levels.

Long range weather forecasts presented at the meeting suggest Canada will experience a cooler and wetter than normal seeding period, raising fears that farmers will once again be unable to complete seeding all intended crops.
