Generally Firm Finish For Lentils

VANCOUVER - Feb 4/11 - SNS -- North American lentil markets finished the week's trading on a generally firm note.

Markets shrugged off rising stocks in Canada because of on going difficulty finding the right quality of lentils to meet sales commitments.

Going into the report, it seemed likely Statistics Canada would find at least 1.2 million metric tons (MT) of lentils in all positions as of December 31, 2010.
