Lentil Deliveries Lag Market Needs

VANCOUVER - Jan 21/11 - SNS -- Lentil markets continued to firm through the middle of January as deliveries by growers remain behind the short term needs of processors and exporters.

Markets outside North America also finished the week on a firmer note, with grower bids in Australia continue to improve fir new crop red lentils.

Markets feel like over half the available supply of lentils in Canada has already been shipped, though the actual proportion should be considerable lower, especially for red lentils.
