Short Covering Firms Lentils
VANCOUVER - Nov 7/10 - SNS -- Spot markets for green lentils finished the week's trading on a firm note against ongoing short covering of high quality lentil sales by Canadian processors and exporters.
Some shippers have advised buyers to disregard Canadian grade certificates, and only buy on a sample approved basis from trusted suppliers.
This has greatly benefitted the U.S. industry, which looks to be in a good position to move this year's harvest at the expense of Canadian movement.
