Turkey's Sunflower Seed Imports Record Improved Oucome

PANAMA - Mar 5/24 - SNS -- So far during the current calendar year recorded a better result, with sunflower seed imports for Turkey showed massive increases, rising compared to the previous month in December, according to trade statistics from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Imports reached 31,417 metric tons (MT) for the month, up 139% from the 13,129 MT shipped the previous month. Imports so far total 745,948 MT, versus 826,436 in the same period the last calendar year.

The most recent movement data revealed Russia was most important origin, selling 10,087 MT. Bulgaria was the second most important supplier shipping 7,183 MT, followed by Ukraine at 5,938 MT.
