Chickpea Exports From Canada Continue Strong Trend
PANAMA - Feb 7/24 - SNS -- Canada's exports of chickpeas during December showed modest gains, advancing versus the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Total movement throughout the month amounted to 26,283 metric tons (MT), up 14% from the previous month's total of 23,128. So far movement has totalled 97,128 MT, up from 81,551 during the previous marketing year.
The most recent trade statistics showed Turkey was top destination, buying 10,750 MT. United States was the second most important destination receiving 2,490 MT, followed by Morocco at 2,202 MT.
