Australia's Chickpea Exports Continue Strong Tone
PANAMA - Feb 5/24 - SNS -- So far during the current marketing year continued their firmer trend, with chickpea exports for Australia leapt relative to the previous month in December, according to data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Total movement in the month reached 94,764 metric tons (MT), up 190% from the previous month's total of 32,697. So far shipments have totalled 127,460 MT, up from 119,553 in the same period the previous marketing year.
In the month, Bangladesh was the top buyer, receiving 74,574 MT. Nepal was the second most important importer receiving 4,352 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 4,010 MT.
