India Worries May Help Chickpeas
PANAMA - Feb 2/24 - SNS -- Chickpea markets were mostly unchanged in continued light trading conditions despite concerns over India export potential.
Planting of this year's rabi season pulse crops was considered complete as of Januaray 19.
Chickpea seedings ended up at 10.29 million hectares, down from 11.2 million last year. If yields are at their recent five year average output would sink from 12.27 to 11.16 million metric tons (MT).
