Continued Weakness in Birdseeds
PANAMA - Jan 26/24 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets continued to show a weaker undertone in the United States, though Canadian canaryseed was nominally unchanged on the week.
Most of the weakness is in sunflower seed, with values affected by expectations of a significant increase in oilseed production in South America and likely pressure on vegetable oil markets.
White proso millet seed prices maintained their weak ton, keeping discounts to canaryseed unusually large.
