Birdseeds Largely Sideways
PANAMA - Dec 15/23 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredients maintained their largely sideways tone in limited holiday season trading and shipping activity.
Both sunflower and white proso millet values were unchanged on the week, reflecting good balance between the short term needs of processors and exporters and the willingness of farmers to sell additional product.
Canadian canaryseed managed a modest increase in inter-dealer markets, though the bid range to farmers was unchanged in both spot and new crop delivery positions, similarly reflecting good balance between the needs of both the market and growers.
