Chickpea Exports From Australia Maintain Firm Trend
PANAMA - Dec 7/23 - SNS -- At this point in the marketing year are maintaining their stronger tone, with chickpea export shipments from Australia posted significant gains, advancing relative to the previous month in October, according to official statistics from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Movement during the month reached 82,785 metric tons (MT), up from 55,487 MT the previous month. This increased shipments so far during the marketing year to 698,241, up 16% last year.
Current trade data revealed Pakistan was largest buyer, receiving 41,998 MT for the month. United Arab Emirates was the second most important destination taking 20,323 MT, followed by Nepal at 8,104 MT.
