PANAMA - Oct 13/23 - SNS -- Kabuli chickpea markets were largely unchanged on the week, though export markets for desi types eased.
Desi markets were influenced by progress with this year's harvest in Australia and reduced buying interest from Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Seeding of rabi season crops is now starting in India, with concerns being expressed about below normal reservoir reserves in parts of the country and the potential impact of El Nino on rainfall and temperature patterns on the Indian subcontinent.
