Turkey's Chickpea Exports Maintain Easy Tendency
PANAMA - Jan 30/23 - SNS -- So far during the current calendar year continued a softer trend, with chickpea export shipments for Turkey were well down, plunging compared to the previous month in November, judging from available data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Total shipments in the month amounted to 14,627 metric tons (MT), down 49% from the previous month's total of 28,709. So far shipments have amounted to 170,838 MT, down from 227,957 during the last calendar year.
Iraq was the largest buyer, taking 2,722 MT. Italy was the second most important destination taking 2,545 MT, followed by Iran at 2,300 MT.
