Australia's Chickpea Exports Sustain Firm Performance
PANAMA - Jan 12/23 - SNS -- Australia's shipments of chickpeas in November posted decent increases, moving compared to the previous month, judging from data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Total shipments throughout the month reached 62,526 metric tons (MT), up 12% from the previous month's total of 55,906. So far export sales have totalled 62,526 MT, up from 41,959 during the previous marketing year.
Pakistan was the most important consumer for the month, receiving 42,832 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important buyer taking 7,586 MT, followed by Nepal at 4,023 MT.
