Mustard Maintains Strong Tone

PANAMA - Nov 25/22 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets maintained their firm tone through the past week ass grower participation in spot markets remains slightly behind the short term needs of processors and exporters.

Bids to western Canadian growers for farmer dressed No 1 grade product delivered processing plants and elevators continue to range up to CDN $1.20 per pound for oriental and yellow, while bids for brown again ranged up to $1.15 per pound. on the other hand these eased 2% on the week because of changes in the value of the Canadian dollar.

Market participants are anxious to see the final production estimates for Canada, with many expecting a reduction from the September, model based forecast creating worries the supply situation will remain tight through the balance of the marketing year.
