Birdseed Ingredient Markets Remain Firm
PANAMA - Aug 26/22 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading on a firmer note over doubts about the quantities of millet and canaryseed that will be produced this season.
The first 9% of the Canadian canaryseed crop was in the bin as the week got underway, compared to 17% by the third week of August last year but above the recent five year average of 7.4%.
Yield reports remain highly mixed, lending some support to markets because of worries they will struggle to reach their recent five year average.
