Birdseed Ingredient Markets Modestly Firmer
PANAMA - Aug 19/22 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading on a firmer note, with most ingredients posting moderate advances.
Though the canaryseed and millet harvests are underway, yield reports from growers are mixed, resulting in some concern over the quantity that will be produced.
Doubts will focus attention on Statistics Canada's first model based crop report of the year, based on satellite imaging and data from the Crop Condition Assessment Program which looks at overall plant health. It is expected to consider conditions through July 31.
