Desi Chickpea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 2/22 - STAT -- Canadian Desi Chickpea markets finished the 2021-22 marketing year with prices offered to growers rocketing 53% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Desi Chickpea was CDN$46.87 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $30.66 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $50.00 per MT in July, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $22.80 per MT in August.
