Spain's Confection Sunflower Imports Sustain Firm Performance
PANAMA - Jul 20/22 - SNS -- At this point in the calendar year are maintaining a stronger trend, with confection sunflower imports for Spain rocketed compared to the previous month in May, according to the latest data from Eurostat.
Imports totalled 60,285 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 114% from the 28,216 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 185,124 MT, versus 146,331 during the previous calendar year.
Argentina was the biggest supplier during the month, selling 27,266 MT. France was the second most important supplier selling 18,774 MT, followed by Romania at 10,350 MT.
