Chickpeas Remain Uncertain About Demand
PANAMA - Jun 3/22 - SNS -- Chickpea markets were little changed in seasonally light trading conditions.
As with many crops, buyers and sellers are waiting to get a better sense of this year's yield potential and the willingness of farmers to participate before adding commitments to their new crop positions.
Markets remain uncertain about the impact of the war in Ukraine on Russia's capacity to compete for available demand, whether with chickpeas or lower priced pulses which can be substituted.
