Chickpea Imports By Pakistan Continue Weak Tone

PANAMA - May 4/22 - SNS -- Pakistan's imports of chickpeas in December fell sharply compared to the previous month, according to data from Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.

Total imports for the month reached 464 metric tons (MT), down 75% from the previous month's total of 1,836. So far imports have reached 68,039 MT, down from 213,396 during the previous calendar year.

Current movement data reported Australia was most important shipper, shipping 246 MT in the month. Argentina was the second most important exporter selling 192 MT, followed by Canada at 17 MT.
