Australia's Chickpea Exports Record Strong Oucome
PANAMA - Feb 3/22 - SNS -- Australia's shipments of chickpeas during December rocketed compared to the previous month, judging from data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Total export sales for the month reached 81,291 metric tons (MT), up 94% from the previous month's total of 41,959. So far movement has amounted to 123,250 MT, down from 169,825 during the previous marketing year.
Bangladesh was the number one importer, taking 66,903 MT. Nepal was the second most important buyer buying 5,527 MT, followed by Pakistan at 2,443 MT.
