Australia's Chickpea Exports Extend Soft Trend
PANAMA - Jan 11/22 - SNS -- Australia's export shipments of chickpeas during November eased versus the previous month, judging from data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Movement for the month totalled 47,651 metric tons (MT), down from 49,732 MT the previous month. This increased exports so far during the marketing year to 47,651, down 23% last year.
The top buyer during the month was Bangladesh, taking 20,396 MT. Nepal was the second most important consumer taking 6,926 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 6,201 MT.
