Good Opening Season Chickpea Movement

PANAMA - Jan 7/22 - SNS -- Global chickpea markets started the new year mostly unchanged from closing values for the 2021 calendar year.

Surpluses of chickpeas the world have virtually disappeared, shifting the focus to the fundamental needs of importers and the capacity of exporters to meet that demand.

Production gains in kabuli type product is expected in both India and Mexico, suggesting competition for the attention of end users will increase as the 2022 calendar year advances.
